VSE Corporation Supply Chain Management Group Appoints President

Former VSE Federal Group President chosen to Lead New Group

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-- VSE Corporation (Nasdaq GS: VSEC) announced today that the newly formed Supply Chain Management (SCM) Group will be led by former VSE Federal Group President Tom Dacus. The SCM group was established to maximize the earnings potential of joint opportunities with VSE’s June 2011 acquisition of Wheeler Brothers, Inc. (WBI). WBI’s 50 years of SCM experience, when combined with VSE’s 52+ years of supporting legacy DoD systems, provides a platform from which to continue VSE’s growth in the SCM market space.

VSE CEO Maurice “Mo” Gauthier said, “Our plan is to grow our business by combining WBI’s and VSE’s supply chain management experience. As Federal Group President, Tom has led one of our largest revenue grossing VSE business groups. Tom has more than 30+ years of managerial experience and there is no one better qualified to lead this diverse offering.”

VSE’s Supply Chain Management Group offerings include maximizing acquisition, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution through application of cost, quality, schedule and risk mitigation techniques – capabilities that have been integral to the company’s 52-year history supporting commercial and public sector requirements.

“As Federal Group President, I’ve been overseeing the U.S. Postal Service Long Life Vehicle (LLV) fuel-efficient gasoline engine development project with WBI,” said Supply Chain Management President Tom Dacus. “One of the reasons I asked for the assignment to manage the new group was so I could devote more attention to this important endeavor. My passion and hobby is vehicle restoration, so this is a natural fit for me.”

The U.S. Navy veteran holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the California State University (Long Beach) and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
