VSE Subsidiary, Energetics Incorporated, Mentor-Protege Agreement

COLUMBIA, Md.-- Energetics Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of VSE Corporation (NASDAQ: VSEC), is pleased to announce the formalization of a mentor-protege agreement with Blue and Gold Strategies, LLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). While several Federal agencies offer a mentor-protege program, Energetics and Blue and Gold chose the General Services Agency (GSA) program, based on GSA's emphasis on energy conservation, sustainable design, and green buildings--all areas of mutual interest.

Both firms look to benefit from the developmental assistance provided by the agreement. As the protege, Blue and Gold now has a more solid foundation on which to build its technical and management capabilities, and this will translate into enhanced contracting opportunities. Similarly, Energetics has a new small business partner in the energy consulting business and looks forward to entering new markets with Blue and Gold's unique expertise. Along the way, Energetics will provide mentorship to support Blue and Gold's growth, especially in the areas of Energy Program Management and Energy Services.
