VSE Announces 2013 Small Business Partners of Choice

Top teaming partners are recognized for outstanding performance

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-- VSE Corporation (NASDAQ: VSEC) has recently named its Small Business Partners of Choice for 2013. Our annual ceremony honored five small business teaming partners who have made significant contributions to our revenue and the overall quality of support to our Federal customers. Nominees were judged on quality, delivery, performance, product support and customer service. Honorees are chosen by our VSE corporate staff, operating groups and subsidiaries.

Federal Group – White’s Paint Blast, LLC is a small business government services contractor located in Texarkana, Texas. They specialize in the disassembly, blast and paint, and reassembly of a wide variety of government and private sector equipment, systems and vehicles. Since 2006, White’s Paint Blast has provided a wide variety of refurbishment services across the Department of Defense, including the U.S. Army at Red River Army Depot (RRAD). “White’s Paint Blast has been an integral part of the VSE Team at RRAD in the performance of our reset and refurbishment programs,” said Donnelle Moten, Federal Group President. “Safety is always our number one priority, and Darron White and his team successfully completed complex equipment sustainability tasks to depot standards within customer production schedules, while maintaining an outstanding safety record. We are proud to call them our teammates.”

National Liquidators accepted and transported hundreds of vessels and aircraft across the nation in 2013, and aided in the sale of over $2 million in seized property dispositions on behalf of our customer. “Our program requirement is to assist agents with securing, relocating and storing seized vessels and aircraft, often after-hours and in challenging locations,” said Harry Flammang, International Group President. “National Liquidators consistently provides top-notch service by responding to customer requirements 24-hours per day, 365 days per year. The creativity they demonstrate to provide the best service needed in every unique situation has made them a trusted and valuable partner under this program.”

Energetics Incorporated – MELE Associates is a veteran-owned small business specializing in national security, alternative energy, information technology, engineering, and aviation services. MELE Associates and Energetics have a shared working history and client base. Over the past two years, Energetics has worked as a subcontractor under MELE Associates in support of the Department of Energy (DoE) National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Global Threat Reduction Initiative (NA-21.) Most recently, the team bid together under the name MELEMAX and was awarded the DOE/NNSA Enterprise-wide Technical, Engineering and Professional Services Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), with a total potential value of $300 million. “The basis for this recognition has been MELE’s strong reputation as a solid government contractor, their competitive pricing, and their outstanding past performance history,” said Nancy Margolis, Energetics President. “Mel Chiogioji and his team have established a solid level of mutual trust with Energetics, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership.”
