New President Announced For G&B Solutions, Inc.

COO Promoted to Top Position/Founder Retires

ALEXANDRIA, Va.-- VSE Corporation (Nasdaq GS: VSEC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Denise Manning as President of wholly-owned subsidiary G&B Solutions, Inc. The promotion comes after founder and CEO Linda Berdine announced her retirement, a transition initiated two years ago. "I leave the company in good hands. The employees are the reason G&B has a bright future. I am so very proud of what we have been able to create together. It has been a privilege and an honor to lead this organization," says Ms. Berdine.

Ms. Manning assumes the top position on the heels of one of G&B's most successful years. She has served as the COO for G&B since 2008, initially joining the team in 2002 as a Director responsible for service delivery. "I look forward to leading G&B Solutions to continued expansion and maintaining the standard of excellence Linda has set before me. Having joined this company just two years after its founding, I have experienced the growth and success along the way, and have had the opportunity to develop alongside an incredible staff."

Ms. Manning's recent responsibilities included the management of business development, proposals and communications, technical solutions, and service delivery for more than 30 programs. During her tenure at G&B she has been instrumental in the growth of company core competencies in support of a solution based business development model. Her expertise has also been an integral component in proposal responses to government issued solicitations, company marketing and communications.

Prior to joining G&B, Denise was at Northrop Grumman for eighteen years as a Program Director in the Enterprise Solutions organization. She also served as a Program Manager for Fairfax Imaging, Inc. and the Director of Project Management for BIAP Systems.

"The VSE management team will miss Linda's contributions. In addition to leading G&B to its best year ever, Linda Berdine was the driving force behind a seamless integration of G&B into the VSE team in 2008. I am particularly pleased Linda has agreed to serve as a special consultant to me for the next several years as well as continuing to guide G&B as a member of its Board of Directors," said Maurice "Mo" Gauthier, VSE CEO/COO/President. "Denise Manning is a terrific leader with an outstanding record of performance. Denise spent the past eight years at G&B preparing for this critical leadership role. Denise is a superb leader who has been transitioning effectively into the role of President for over a month."
